The hotel is located very close to Grand Place, the Central Station, St. Katherine Square. It can be a good strarting point for the city tour. There are lots of cafes and restaurants around. The hotel personnel are responsive and helpful. The room is clean There is a big tv set and a fridge. They gave mineral water, fanta and a bottle of beer for free.
The window faced the street close to Grand Place, that's why it was very noisy during the night when music festival was held. It was not possible to sleep if the window was open.

Hotel Matignon was comfortable, clean and in a great location. We arrived late and yet were greeted very nicely. The breakfast was a lovely buffet, which my teenage girls loved. It was good value for money, and I will stay there again when I get back to Brussels.
The carpets and furnishings were a little old and worn, but that is the only negative.

Its quirkiness... The quadruple room with the second double bed in its loft. The location - straight out and into the centre of old Brussels, that was fantastic.
The room without any windows - though it was palatial in size I would not want that room again. Breakfast and service was a bit bleak on our return journey.

Don't expect a smile form the staff, TV may be huge but very little to watch. Generally clean. Decor is dipressing and could do with a revamp, but the location of the place, the view from the windows and its proximity to the metro and everything makes it a brilliant place to stay!

location
untidy, tired, no wireless in rooms, ok breakfast, bed uncomfortable (no bed frame), old mismatched furniture and carpet, hand-held shower only, musty smell, not all lights worked, no guidance for using tv, no hotel information booklet, no city maps available.......

the location very central and the space of the triple room
the toilet old and the courtines and carpets not clean enought (durty).

The home-feeling factor in a simple but secure environment helps one to settle down immediately in this hotel. Rooms may be much better with more stylish furniture. However, brekfast was better than expected. The Hotel location is amazingly perfect, both to reach Grand Place and to catch the metro!
Rooms are somehow not so exciting in terms of facilities.

Very convenient--great location especially for Christmas time.
Hallway lighting on the 4th floor was very confusing.

The staff of the hotel were excellent, polite, helpful. The triple room we stayed in was tidy, big and very nicely furnished. Location is awesome, only 30 meters from the main square. Breakfast was ok, could have more options on the menu though.
No complaints. Maybe high price but considering all it was ok.
